SDGA Flex Start Challenge
SDGA Flex Start Challenge
Format, rules and Social Distancing Guidelines
This event will be 3 rounds at the Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore Disc Golf Course. Each round will be a different format and the lowest score(s) in each division after all 3 rounds will be the winners.
Round 1 – One Person Scramble: In this format each player will be allowed to throw twice for every shot. After both throws the player can select their best or preferred shot and proceed to throw from that spot. This will continue until the player gets 1 shot in the basket. The players score is how many “shots” were taken and not the number of throws that were taken.
Round 2 – 3 Disc Challenge: In this format players will be required to select 3 discs only at the start of the round, this includes their putter. They must indicate to the group what 3 discs they have chosen and need to play the whole round with only those 3 discs.
Round 3 – Standard Round: The final round will be played as a normal disc golf round.
Players can register for one of the following divisions
• Junior Division: Players under the age of 18 prior to July 11th, 2020

All players are required to submit 3 score cards (1 per round). Please use the UDisc app to track your score, and once each round is completed please take a screenshot of the card and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please specify what round each of the cards is for.
Only cards that include at least 3 registered tournament players on it will be accepted. If you are having difficulties making a group of 3 please send us a message on Facebook or email and we will ensure that you are paired with other tournament players.
As this is a flex start tournament, we do not have a mechanism to enforce rules. Instead we ask that the honor system is in place within each group. If there are any discrepancies, please come to a consensus amongst the group.
Social Distancing Guidelines
We have designed this flex-start with the main goal of reducing the number of players on the course at the same time. In order to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone involved please respect the following guidelines.
Group Sizes: We ask that you limit your group size to 5 people or less. If you have 6 people,
please go out in groups of 3.
Keep your Distance: Please leave at least 1 hole of distance between your group and the next group. If you see a group on the next holes tee, please wait by the previous holes basket until they tee off. If a group is putting, please do not throw until that group has cleared the green.
1 Disc in the Basket: When you are putting out, please only putt 1 person at a time. If a player makes their putt, please allow them to remove their disc from the basket prior to the next player putting.
6 Feet or 2 Meters: Unless part of your social circle, please ensure to remain 6 feet or 2 meters away from others. For more information on social circle please visit https://www.ontario.ca/page/create-social-circle-during-covid-19.
